Watch trailer: Deepika Padukone romances Rajinikanth in Kochadaiiyaan
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is back on the silver screen after a long gap with Kochadaiiyaan – directed by his younger daughter Soundarya R Ashwin.
The film’s trailer was unveiled along with its music recently. And, for the first time we get a glimpse of Deepika Padukone’s character Princess Vadhana in the movie, which is set to release in April.
Going by the trailer, the movie, like any other Rajinikanth film, promises to be high on action a la Rajini style. Mind it! (See Pics: Music release of Kochadaiiyaan)
We will be able to witness some classic and grand battle scenes shot in 3D. Rajinikanth is cast as the archetypal superhero in the epic dramatisation of good versus evil. He has a double role with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone being paired opposite the younger character.
The Tamil superstar’s most talked about film, set to be released in six languages, is being touted as the country’s first to be made using motion capture technology.
Pencil’s red dragon connection
We also know that Suriya's current film, Anjaan, is being shot using
red dragon technology, considered an innovation in cinematography
circles. But it looks like Pencil, which stars music composer GV Prakash
and Sri Divya in lead roles, is also being shot using the same
technology. As this is a new-released technology, Pencil could well be
the first film in the world to be shot in this format.
